Graduates earn 396 degrees, certificates from Heritage University

About 46.5 percent of the 396 degrees and certificates handed out by the Heritage University in 2016-17 were to students in Education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Toppenish conferred 122 master's degrees and 62 bachelor's degrees in Education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. Data shows the school gave out 85 master's degrees in Elementary Education and Teaching, followed by 47 bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Teaching and 46 master's degrees in Biomedical Sciences, General.

The university enrolled 1,124 students for 2016-17, including 808 in undergraduate programs and 316 in graduate programs.
