About 44.3 percent of the 149 degrees and certificates handed out by the Northwest Indian College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Bellingham conferred 66 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities, Other. Data shows the school gave out 66 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities, Other, followed by 18 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 12 bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science.

The college enrolled 579 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
