About 36.5 percent of the 550 degrees and certificates handed out by the Pima Medical Institute-Renton in 2016-17 were to students in Medical/Clinical Assistant, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Renton conferred 201 certificates in Medical/Clinical Assistant.

Other popular programs include Phlebotomy Technician/Phlebotomist, Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant and Dental Assisting/Assistant.

The institute enrolled 689 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
