Graduates earn 1,933 degrees, certificates from Shoreline Community College


About 28.7 percent of the 1,933 degrees and certificates handed out by the Shoreline Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Shoreline conferred 555 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 555 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 195 certificates in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician and 170 certificates in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician.

The college enrolled 5,805 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
