Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 24.
Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation has a summer full of activities planned, including the 11th year of free Summer Movies in the Park. The series draws around 500 people at each event, and there are opportunities for the community to get involved.
Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU) is returning as a sponsor this year, but there are other sponsorships available. Interested businesses or organizations are invited to help sponsor the movies, which are scheduled for July 12 and July 26 in Valley Mission Park and Aug. 9 in Mirabeau Meadows Park. The movies provide a unique way to reach families and give back to the community.
A variety of sponsorship levels are available, providing sponsors with promotional opportunities such as recognition in movie promotional materials, on-screen commercials, display space at the events and more. Sponsors are also listed in the parks and recreation spring/summer guide that is mailed to 18,000 households in the region.
With enough sponsors, it is possible that the summer movie program can be expanded in the future to offer more free outdoor entertainment all summer long for the community to enjoy.
