Issaquah Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 1.
In partnership with the Washington Blues Society, the Downtown Issaquah Association and partner Issaquah Historic Museum and Trolly, is excited to announce our 5TH Annual season of Gas Station Blues. This series is a 2018 & 2019 nominee at the Washington Best of Blues Awards.
Gas Station Blues Series features notable and talented blues artists every Thursday night from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Historic Shell Station located at 232 Front Street North. This year’s Blues musician lineup will keep you coming back week after week for the entire 8 weeks, a definite ‘go to’ place in Issaquah on Thursday nights.
In addition to amazing blues music. Food available from local restaurants and food vendors, including BardsleyQUE and Five Hooks Fish Grill. Enjoy beer and wine in the Rogue beer garden (no outside alcohol allowed). Come early and picnic on the grass or enjoy one of the fantastic galleries or restaurants along Front Street before the show. Bring your own chair; a funky and/or decorated chair could win you a prize.
This is a free, all ages event open to the public. Food and beverage are available for purchase. Historic Downtown Issaquah has a vibrant and lively atmosphere and Gas Station Blues enhances that scene even further.

July 11- Brian Butler

Aug 1 Alice Stuart
Blues and folk singer-songwriter and guitarist. She toured the UK with Van Morrison and throughout the United States with Mississippi John Hurt.
Aug 8 Kim Archer
Known for her raw, powerhouse performances, Kim Archer has attracted a large and loyal following of fans with her vocally-driven soulful rock and honest songwriting
Aug 15 el Colonel
el Colonel's uniquely gritty, soul-stirring vocals earned him two nominations for "Best Male Vocalist" with the Washington Blues Societies. He also won Best Blues Awards in 2006 and 2008.
Aug 22 Karen Lovely
KAREN LOVELY offers up a blistering mix of contemporary Blues, Blues Rock, and American roots music. A multi-award winning artist, Lovely has taken home 7 Muddy Awards for "Performance of the Year", "Best Contemporary Blues Band", "Best Female Artist" and "Best National Recording.
Aug 29 John Greyhound Maxwell
WA Blues Society 2018 award winner for Best Acoustic Blues Guitar. His singular approach to slide guitar and mandolin, paying homage to the craft and tradition of the masters, while infusing the music with fresh energy.
