Graduates earn 1,422 degrees, certificates from Seattle Pacific University


About 36.7 percent of the 1,422 degrees and certificates handed out by Seattle Pacific University in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Seattle conferred 297 master's degrees and 140 certificates in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in "other" teacher education and professional development, specific levels and methods. Data shows the school gave out 87 master's degrees in "other" teacher education and professional development, specific levels and methods, followed by 83 bachelor's degrees in general business/commerce and 80 certificates in "other" teacher education and professional development, specific levels and methods.

The university enrolled 3,783 students for 2017-18, including 2,900 in undergraduate programs and 883 in graduate programs.
