Graduates earn 1,590 degrees, certificates from Walla Walla Community College


About 23.3 percent of the 1,590 degrees and certificates handed out by Walla Walla Community College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Walla conferred 234 certificates and 136 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 287 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 117 certificates in early childhood education and teaching and 109 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The college enrolled 4,253 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
