63 percent of applicants to Eastern Washington University were admitted for fall 2018


At Eastern Washington University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Cheney enrolled 12,633 students in fall 2018, including 11,408 in undergraduate and 1,225 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Washington, and 6 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (57 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (16 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 8,374 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 34 percent enrolled.
