Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.
The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce today announced a new, free online service, SizeUp, that makes powerful market research and business intelligence available to King County businesses of all sizes.
Through the service, businesses and service providers can:
1. Compare their business performance to industry competitors
2. Discover potential customers and suppliers
3. Optimize advertising to target ideal customer segments
4. Analyze local demographics, consumer spending, and labor force
The software uses information from hundreds of public and proprietary data sources covering demographic, geographic, labor, wage, cost, consumer spending, transportation, and more to deliver this custom analysis for local businesses.
“SizeUp offers small businesses free access to market research that typically, only large corporations can afford. We are excited to provide this service so that more local businesses can get the data they need to successfully compete and grow here in King County,” said Marilyn Strickland, president and CEO of the Seattle Metro Chamber.
“The tool is easy to use, and the visualization of graphics overlaid on maps for various data points is really useful,” said Nick Ladd, an entrepreneur who is in the process of starting up a brewery and taproom in King County.
SizeUp is provided through REACH King County (Retention, Expansion, and Collaboration Hub), a program of the Chamber that works directly with King County businesses at all stages to help them thrive and grow. REACH also partners with King County cities and communities to help them support their local businesses.
